Selecting a Pedestal: Digitizers do not include a pedestal. Some users prefer to use their existing tables, if large enough, or build their own table. Hard Board Digitizers will mount directly to the pedestal but Roll-up digitizer users must purchase a tabletop board with the pedestal.
Chaparal Pedestals are available in three modes: Manual, Semi-automatic
(Electric Height/Manual Tilt), and Fully Automatic
(Electric Height/Electric Tilt). Price increases accordingly. The Fully Automatic
is recommended for all backlit and 44"x60" boards because of the weight.
If you require a keyboard arm, monitor arm, printer arm, or additional add-on workspace, then you should consider the Dakota over the Chaparral Pedestal. However, backlit digitizers digitizers should use the Fully automatic Chaparrel Pedestal.
